In the drafting world, the one that is drafted last is given the moniker of "Mister (or Miss) Irrelevant." Like a child's kickball game, it is the person given the least consideration in deciding on teams. Those seen as possessing greater talent or needing to fill a particular role are snatched up first, while the unknowing Irrelevant stands by, watching as their prospects dwindle. For some, they may see it as a slight. That their true talents were not taken into consideration. They become bitter, enraged by the entire process, and perhaps opt to not perform at their best. Others choose to accept that title with grace, simply being content with the notion that they were left for last. Me? I have been an irrelevant fixture for years. One world title to my name. Opportunity after opportunity came and went, suffering defeat after defeat. It granted me a unique perspective on life. My irrelevance allowed me to shock the world time and time again. Once I understood my true value, I broke out on my own. No amount of torture was going to keep me from being the success I knew myself to be.
